School Improvement
Continuous school improvement is an embedded behavior rooted in the school's culture that constantly focuses on the conditions, processes, and practices that improve teaching and learning. Schools use student performance results and analyze data from various interwoven components to develop plans and implement improvement actions to drive education quality and improved student outcomes.
CSI Goals SY 2024-2025
Math Goal: The percentage of kindergarten and first grade students who meet or exceed the math standard will achieve a baseline score of 75% at the end of SY 2024 - 2025 as measured by the Reveal Math End of Year Summative Assessment. This goal will be modified at the start of SY 2025 – 2026 as a 3-year goal after a baseline has been formed.
Literacy Goal: The percentage of kindergarten and first grade students who meet or exceed the literacy standard will increase from 58% to 68% by the end of SY 2026- 2027 as measured by the Reading Proficiency Tool Assessment.
Communication and Engagement Goal 1:The average percentage of parents who answered, “quite a lot “on the Communication and Engagement Feedback Spring 2024 Survey Question # 6. “How much opportunity does the school give you to be involved in your child's learning?” will increase from 65% to 75% by the end of SY 2026 – 2027.
Communication and Engagement Goal 2: The average percentage of staff who answered, “Quite a lot “on the Communication and Engagement Feedback Spring 2024 Survey on Question #4, “How much opportunity does your school’s leadership give you to provide input or feedback?” will increase from 29% to 44% by the end of SY 2026-2027 with a 5% increase in each of the three years .

DoDEA Accreditation
Accreditation is the act of granting credit or recognition (especially with respect to an educational institution that maintains suitable standards). Educational accreditation is a type of quality assurance process under which services and operations of educational institutions or programs are evaluated by an external agency to determine if applicable standards are met. If standards are met, accredited status is granted by the agency.

As the global leader in advancing education excellence through accreditation and school improvement, Cognia brings together more than 100 years of experience and the expertise of three United States-based accreditation agencies - the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA/CASI), Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC), and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS/CASI). Accreditation is pivotal to leveraging education quality and continuous improvement.

Comprehensive Assessment System
In conjunction with the implementation of the College and Career Ready Standards (CCRS), DoDEA is implementing the Comprehensive Assessment System (CAS) that includes all of the assessments that are administered system-wide within DoDEA. These include the PSAT, Advanced Placement, NAEP, and College and Career Ready Standards (CCRS) assessments. All assessments included in the DoDEA Comprehensive Assessment System support student learning, provide information for decision makers concerning instructional programs and services, and inform parents. DoDEA is committed to student achievement and assessments that raise the bar for the students to ensure they are on the path to success.
